CKB Studio is Now Open-Sourced, with Linux Support
CKB Studio is a powerful and easy-to-use graphical IDE (Integrated Development Environment) to develop CKB scripts for Nervos blockchain. It integrates common tools such as a code editor, compiler, and debugger. To support Nervos CKB’s unique features, we had also specifically designed and built CKB Cell Explorer, Tx Contructor, UDT Manger, Anyone-can-pay, etc.
With CKB Studio, developers can perform common development operations such as environment setup, coding, debugging, starting local nodes, and constructing transactions in a single application. It greatly simplifies the process of DApp development and reduces the onboarding threshold for developers to learn CKB.
Today, we have two great pieces of news to announce:
- CKB Studio for Linux has been officially released and will support all the features of the latest Mac version!
- CKB Studio is officially open-sourced!
The CKB Studio project will be managed on https://github.com/ObsidianLabs/CKB-Studio. Other teams and developers from the community are welcomed to audit CKB Studio’s code. Obsidian Labs will continue to lead and manage product updates for CKB Studio and provide immediate technical support through channels including Telegram (https://t.me/ckb_studio) and WeChat (account: Nervos1225).
The core features of CKB Studio will continuously be provided for free to developers. We will update the features and services of CKB Studio and keep up with Nervos and CKB development. Lectures and tutorials on developing blockchain applications on CKB will also be held from time to time to help people become more familiar with the functionality of CKB Studio. By open-sourcing CKB Studio, we hope to encourage more and more developers and teams to participate, review, and improve CKB Studio and build a better CKB development ecosystem together.
